About Terraclime
Terraclime started with a water bill.
While still in college, Hari questioned why households paid separately for electricity but not for the water they actually used. That question grew into a research effort at IIT Madras' Centre for Nondestructive Evaluation, under the guidance of Prof. Prabhu Rajagopal, exploring how flow could be measured without cutting into the pipe.
Vishnu, then leading robotics projects at CNDE, joined to turn the early prototype into a deployable product. Terraclime was incorporated in Chennai in June 2025, bringing together environmental economics, sensing research and product engineering.
